Cooking is more of a therapy than a hobby for me. Whenever I get stressed or burnt out I would always seek refuge inside the kitchen. Frankly, it is my sanctuary that allows me to relax and unwind. We love our homes very much. We bought this home back in ’95 through the blood, sweat, and tears of me and my wife. I can proudly say that this house is the culmination of our dreams before and the backbone of our goals now. However, our daughter pointed out that the house has looked the same ever since she can remember. Music is my life. I have found that I simply cannot survive a single day without listening to my favorite tunes. It doesn’t matter how, where or when. And if ever I put it inside my bag, it would always find a way to knot itself into something hard to fix. Not only is it irritating but it is an inconvenience to me and the people around me. All I need to do is plug it in to the jack of my player and wear the headphones on my ears and I’d be listening to music all day long.

My garage is my refuge. This is where I keep most of my tools and other gizmos. They are all assorted ranging from power tools to garden tools to anything I may ever need once a Do-It-Yourself itch comes to me. However, despite the love I have for my garage, it is also one of the places that I would hate to stay in, or walk at. You see, with all the things in here, I find the place very cramped, messy, and hard to move in. Actually everything else can be stored quite nicely; it is only the hoses that give me a problem.
As I have said, there are various tools in the garage, and this also applies to my hoses. I’ve got a garden hose, pneumatic hoses, and other types of hoses used for various things. It is almost impossible to keep these things from getting dangled up and making a mess. It is a good thing that I discovered an air hose reel; with this I don’t have to worry about the hoses going all over the place. I can just bundle them up nicely and they certainly won’t get in the way. Now my garage looks cleaner and certainly safer to walk around in.

My sister has just given birth to healthy young baby girl and now I am a proud uncle. Thank you very much. The baby is the first of the new generation in our family and everybody just wants to hold the little bundle of joy. Everyone is ecstatic for the new niece and grandchild that they practically smothered her with gifts. The problem now is that with all of the gifts she has received, I have no idea what to give her.

I have always been close to my grandmother. It probably has something to do with me spending a lot of time at their place when I was young. Due to strict finances, they weren’t able to afford to a sitter so they had to leave me at grandma’s for long periods of time.
Grandma and I used to play a lot of games together, and despite her age she still tried her best to keep up with an energetic young kid. Eventually dad got a promotion and mom decided to retire and become a full-pledged housewife and my visits to grandma became less and less. As the years passed by, we would only go there on special occasions such as thanksgiving or Christmas. I was surprised to see Grandma’s gift last Christmas: it was the vintage singer sewing machine that she kept at her house. She always said that she would give it to me when I become old enough to use it and seeing it reminded me of all the fun times we had together. Next week, I’ll go surprise grandma and take a visit; maybe we can play again for old times’ sake.
